Heat Stress Management

WBGT monitoring, heat stress risk assessment, and work-rest regime design for operations in Singapore's tropical climate.

About This Service

Overview

Singapore's tropical climate makes heat stress one of the most prevalent occupational health hazards, particularly for workers in construction, manufacturing, outdoor operations, and any environment involving heavy physical labour or heat-generating processes. Heat-related illnesses range from heat cramps and heat exhaustion to potentially fatal heat stroke.

DASH Consult provides comprehensive heat stress management services including Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) monitoring, metabolic rate assessment, heat stress risk evaluations, and the design of work-rest regimes compliant with the WSH Council's guidelines. Our monitoring uses calibrated WBGT instruments positioned at representative work locations throughout the shift.

Beyond monitoring, we help organisations implement a complete heat stress management programme that includes acclimatisation protocols, hydration strategies, shading and ventilation improvements, personal cooling equipment recommendations, and supervisor training on recognising early signs of heat illness.
