Overview
When a Dust Hazard Analysis identifies deflagration scenarios, explosion protection systems are the engineered safeguards that prevent catastrophic outcomes. DASH Consult provides independent design review and specification of explosion protection measures including deflagration venting, chemical suppression, explosion isolation, and inerting systems.
We size explosion vent panels to NFPA 68 and EN 14491, specify chemical suppression systems to EN 14373, and review isolation barriers using chemical, mechanical, or passive methods per NFPA 69. We also evaluate whether inerting with nitrogen or carbon dioxide is a viable strategy for your process and assist with system specification.
We act as your independent technical advisor, reviewing vendor proposals and ensuring that installed systems meet the performance requirements identified in your DHA. Our goal is cost-effective protection that does not disrupt your production while providing a robust last line of defence against dust explosions.
